Yes, that Lapua in Finland – their emblem is a man riding a bear with a club.

I asked one of our resident Finns about bears, and he imparted these nuggets: “there was belief that people who got lost innawoods were slowly turned into bears. Yeah bear was like demigod forest cousin of the people and if you said its name out loud it will hear and come to you so people just say “karhu” rough fur. Karhu is also beer, but they didnt actually made it from bears or by using bear workforce. I still like the beer tho.”
